Hey! Thanks for visiting my website.

My name is Ashley Campbell and I am a graduate of the University of Tampa where I earned my BFA in Musical Theatre and BA in International Studies/Political Economy. I currently live in Tallahassee, Florida, where I work in customer service, which I find to be a good fit because nothing makes me happier than making someone's day a little bit easier and putting a smile on their face.

I am happy to be back in my hometown, where I was born and raised; but this time am enjoying getting to know this charming city as an adult. Some of my childhood interests have followed me into adult hood, such as supporting and/or participating in our local performing arts, volunteering with local Girl Scouts, hiking through our beautiful trails, and  spending time with my wonderful family and two adorable dogs. However, I have also found new hobbies and past times in ballroom/social dancing (swing, foxtrot, cha-cha, rumba, waltz, tango, and anything else I can try and follow) and silent book clubs.

One of the greatest blessings was the year I studied abroad in Marienheide, Germany (about 55 KM from Cologne) as a Rotary Youth Exchange Student. I had the time of my life, living with some amazing families and making lifelong friends; but most importantly, I gained a better understanding for their incredible culture and was able to learn the complex German language. In fact, I earned my Telc B2 Certificate at the end of the year and am always working on continuing my German studies, both conversationally and in performance. I have remained active with the Rotary Youth Exchange Southeast program as a Rotex Volunteer, welcoming inbound exchange students to the state of Florida, mentoring for exchange students in the area, and preparing future outbound exchange students to have a successful exchange.

As a college student, I was very active in both the theatre department and political science department. On top of graphic design and social media managing the theatre department, I was an active member of Phi Kappa Phi, Pi Sigma Alpha, and Alpha Psi Omega (President 2022-2023, Secretary 2021-2022). I also had the pleasure of performing in various ensembles such as the Chamber Singers, OPUS, and Opera Workshop, in addition to mainstage Theatre and Musical Theatre shows. Off-campus, I also frequented meetings with the Tampa Bay Area Committee on Foreign Relations as a Mark Orr Foreign Affairs Fellow (2021-2023).

As I have started the next professional chapter of my life, I continue to strive towards my goal of "telling a beautiful story". Whether it be an interaction with a client, a word of encouragement to a co-worker, or a performance review, if I can continue to write out a beautiful story just by living my life and making people's day a little bit brighter than it was before, then I can rest easy each night knowing that I am meeting my goals.

As an artist I still believe strongly in using the arts as a way to foster cultural understanding, bring communities together, and to celebrate the stories that art, music, and theatre allow us to share with people all over the world. No matter where I am or what I am doing that continues to be my mission: share stories with others that inspire and encourage them to live their lives enthusiastically.
