Every year the Theatre Honor Society, Alpha Psi Omega, hosts a wonderful student-run award ceremony celebrating the department and its members' accomplishments throughout the school year and say goodbye to our seniors. This year's ceremony, hosted by Professor Paul Finocchiaro ("Fino") celebrated the various student-directed productions, mainstage plays, mainstage musicals, and studio theatre and cabaret performances that we were able to accomplish during the 2020-2021 school year, as well as recognize department members with various superlative awards.
I was humbled to have been nominated for the following awards, in addition to any of the superlatives my peers might have nominated me for:
Best Supporting Actress in a Mainstage Musical (Aunt March/Mrs. Kirk in Little Women)
Best Student Directed Piece (Roles Reversed: An Evening of Backwards Broadway)
Best Assistant Director (Vaudeville Today)
I am grateful to say that I won the superlative award "Most Social Media Savvy," an award my peers nominated me for that I was completely not expecting. Thank you to my peers for thinking so highly of my social media presence and to everyone who nominated me for this award!
I would like to thank the Alpha Kappa cast of Alpha Psi Omega for putting on such a wonderful event, and would like to thank all of the department members who showed up for making the night so wonderful! Can't wait to see you all again next year.
