Glamorous American Operas: Ashley's Final Opera Workshop Performance at the University of Tampa

For the past four years I have had the immense pleasure of performing with the University of Tampa's Opera Workshop at the University of Tampa. Unfortunately, tonight marked my final performance with the ensemble due to senior spring semester scheduling conflicts, but what a wonderful event to end my time with such a wonderful group of performers.

This semester Dr. Jung trusted me with Leonard Bernstein's beautiful aria "What a Movie" from Trouble in Tahiti. I also had the privilege to, for one last time, assist with the direction of the finale number which was a Porgy and Bess medley including "Oh, I Can't Sit Down" and "Oh, Lawd I'm On My Way," in coordination with Dr. Jung. A huge congratulations to the entire ensemble for on a wonderful performance , and, as always, many thanks to Dr. Jung for allowing me to perform such a beautiful, challenging, and fun piece, allowing me to direct her ensemble, and for providing me with such amazing direction and support, not only this semester but over the past four years.
