Reflections on a Final Falk Awards

What a fun night celebrating a final Falk Awards at UT tonight and how special to be able to host it alongside my best friend. It was so much fun seeing the casts of all the shows back together and getting to perform with some of them, but it was even more fun getting to recognize the hard work and dedication of the many students and faculty members who worked hard to make this 2022-2023 Theatre Season so special.

I am honored to announce that The Hunchback of Notre Dame was recognized as the APO Student Directed Production of the year and I was recognized as the best director of an APO production for my work on The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Additionally, Boeing Boeing was named best mainstage play of the season and I was awarded the "Soccer Mom" award for always being prepared to help my fellow students in any way possible. I do the work that I do because it brings me joy and because I feel as though it is important to use the gifts I am given as often as I am able to. I am so grateful that the students of UT enjoyed these works as much as I enjoyed working on them.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to the awards tonight and helped us celebrate an amazing year! There are so many people I would like to thank and so many things I would like to say but I’m simply in disbelief that tonight was the last time most of us will see each other again and refuse to accept that fact. Thank you UT APO for an amazing year serving you as President.
